Review steps to print from Amazon Fire devices to your HP printer. Some Kindle models run apps that contain documents or images you may want to print. Unfortunately, Kindle isn't designed with a printer hook-up that connects.
There is no simple way to print a Kindle-formatted e-book. The design of the format these files use, as well as the layer of DRM protection Amazon employs to protect its own sales, makes it an obnoxiously complicated process for most people when it is possible at all. That said, you may not be completely out of options depending on the specifics of your needs.
Addressing the DRM Problem
If you purchased your Kindle e-book directly from Amazon, there is a layer of protection added to prevent you from distributing, modifying or otherwise playing around with it. The same is true of most borrowed Kindle titles coming from library collections. In these cases, you are out of luck. There is no legal way of circumventing these protections to print your content. But there are dozens of stores and legally free archives available across the Internet that may prove more helpful when it comes to obtaining DRM-free e-books.

Format Limitations
The Kindle has traditionally used the Mobipocket format, while Amazon has its own proprietary Kindle Format 8. In neither case is it possible to print directly. These e-book formats encode the text for reading on special software, with an emphasis on ease of reading and content reflow. In order to send anything to a printer you're going to have to convert to a more easily accessible format.
Converting for Print
Calibre, an open-source e-book management program, is usually your best bet for all forms of conversion. It automates the whole process, whether you are getting ready to print something or just switching to a different platform. In general the format you want is either PDF or RTF. RTF tends to be more useful, since using a less rigid format will introduce fewer inaccuracies and allow you to fit any print format more easily. No conversion is guaranteed to be completely perfect, so you want to be as flexible as possible if the integrity of your content matters.

Practical Legal Concerns
Different uses of Kindle content have different potential problems. Remember that you cannot legally break the protection on any DRM-encoded e-books. Even if you are able to modify or convert your content for personal or educational use due to the licensing terms of your preferred distributor, it is likely illegal to redistribute that same content. It is best to keep your e-books for yourself if you want to stay safe. When in doubt, contact the archive or store directly.
